Let me show you how to make the best fish sauce for cod or any other fish at home from scratch using this step by step guide with a video.

What is parsley sauce

Parsley sauce is basically a bechamel sauce with chopped parsley. It uses the same ingredients as bechamel sauce. It is creamy and delicious, popularly served with cod, salmon, haddock, ham or any type of white fish. This sauce is a traditional, classic English recipe that was popularly served along with school dinner for children back in the days. Parsley sauce is easy to make at home and I always make mine as it only takes about 10 minutes to make. I also, find it better than the store packet as you have control over what goes into it, no preservatives or ingredients you can’t name. You don’t require a special skill to make this simple homemade condiment. If the sauce is too thick, add more milk.

Stir some lemon juice into the sauce for some tangy taste

Use dill instead of parsley if pairing with salmon.

How to store parsley sauce

Leftover homemade parsley sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 to 3 days. This recipe can’t be frozen as the sauce would separate.
